During our first ever road trip with a rented autocamper, we embarked on our 15-day-long trip. One of our stops was at the surreal Pink Lake, also known as Hutt Lagoon, a place we were recommended on the way north of Perth. Although we had to drive a little off the fastest route to Exmouth, it was worth it to visit and experience the vivid pink hues of the Pink Lake.

Exploring Western Australia: A Road Trip Itinerary from Perth to Exmouth
We chose Western Australia from these criteria: Good snorkeling, possible to do in ~14 days time, beautiful scenery, unique nature (like the Kalbarri and Ningaloo Reef), lots of wildlife (kangaroos) and nice beaches.
Exploring Kalbarri Wildlife with an Autocamper
Kalbarri National Park is a grand place that took my breath away - it felt surreal standing in the middle of this huge canyon. It was my second favorite place along the West coast of Australia, only beaten by the Ningaloo Reef in Cape Range National Park in the very north-western corner of WA.
