Madeira: A half-day hike to Risco and the 25 Fontes

During my family vacation to Madeira in January 2024, we hiked the 'Levada das 25 Fontes' and 'Levada do Risco' with a tour guide. Opting for a guide was necessary due to transportation constraints. The trail showcased local wildlife, Laurissilva forest, Levadas, and featured a thrilling 800-meter tunnel. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and hope to return for more exploration.

Belize: Hostels and hammocks in Hopkins

During an internship in bird banding at Toucan Ridge, I visited Hopkins in September 2018. The Funky Dodo hostel provided budget-friendly accommodation. Despite pollution on the public beach, a trip to Jaguar Reef offered a cleaner alternative. Hopkins offers a quiet and authentic atmosphere, ideal for a relaxed vacation or weekend getaway.
