After a three-week trip to Indonesia, I sought birdwatching opportunities in Malaysia, specifically near Kuala Lumpur. I chose Bukit Tinggi for its rich bird species, staying at the Chateau Wellness & Spa Hotel. Despite discovering many birds near the hotel and Japanese and Botanical Gardens, navigating the area without a car posed challenges. I enjoyed the wildlife, including squirrels and monkeys, but the resort's layout limited access to the best birding spots. Overall, it was a peaceful experience amidst nature.

The region, a biodiversity hotspot, faces severe habitat destruction as a result of farming and logging. Despite obstacles, I gathered crucial data and remain hopeful for the conservation of the endangered Taita apalis bird.
Traveling Through Italy: My Interrail Adventure

We traveled from Milano to the colorful Cinque Terre by the sea, then Pisa, Florence, and finally Venice. Travel to Santorini is convenient through air or sea, with the possibility of self-driven transportation available. Santorini promises an idyllic escape filled with memorable experiences.

During my visit to Tasmania I spent one night on the lovely Bruny Island. It is the most southern island off Tasmania, it has bewildering landscapes and local wildlife is abundant on the island. For wildlife viewing, it is a great place to see some of the iconic animals of southern Australia.

In September 2018, I spent seven weeks in Belize, a diverse country with beaches, Mayan temples, and rainforests. I explored cities and sites like Belmopan, Cockscomb Basin, and San Ignacio. English is widely spoken, making travel easy. ATMs are secure, and the currency is tied to the USD. While slightly more expensive, budget-friendly travel is possible. Public transport is reliable, and it's recommended to plan itineraries according to the duration of your stay.
