Madeira: A half-day hike to Risco and the 25 Fontes

During my family vacation to Madeira in January 2024, we hiked the 'Levada das 25 Fontes' and 'Levada do Risco' with a tour guide. Opting for a guide was necessary due to transportation constraints. The trail showcased local wildlife, Laurissilva forest, Levadas, and featured a thrilling 800-meter tunnel. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and hope to return for more exploration.

Traveling Through Italy: My Interrail Adventure

This post is part of my three-week European interrail adventure in 2023, focusing on a week spent in Italy. We traveled from Milano to the colorful Cinque Terre by the sea, then Pisa, Florence, and finally Venice. We utilized our Interrail passes extensively, particularly in Cinque Terre where we could travel between five cities. I highly recommend train travel in Italy for future explorers.

Explore Tikal: Camping, Temples, and Wildlife Encounters

Tikal National Park, located in northern Guatemala, is a captivating destination with its stunning rainforest, diverse wildlife, and well-preserved historical ruins. Getting there requires a bus journey, with an entrance fee at the gate. Visitors can explore ancient Mayan ruins and spot wildlife, whilst also enjoying mesmerizing sunsets from atop temples.
