In November-December 2016, I conducted fieldwork for their Master’s thesis in the Taita Hills, Kenya. The region, a biodiversity hotspot, faces severe habitat destruction as a result of farming and logging. Despite obstacles, I gathered crucial data and remain hopeful for the conservation of the endangered Taita apalis bird.
